...well, o.k. ...what really happened was that he got a little carried away and jumped off the Ark and landed in a ...well...he landed in a fish pond! :-D
Yesterday evening I heard a SPLASH outside my window. Then a thud. Naturally I immediately thought to myself, "Oh yeah. Sebastian has something to do with that."
As I went to investigate, I saw Sebastian coming through the window dripping wet doing that funny little walk cats do when they're wet. You know the walk? Two steps forward, left back leg shake, one step forward, front right leg shake, two steps forward right back leg shake...He had apparently fallen into the Fish Pond outside.
He looked a little surprised and embarrassed to see me standing there staring at him. So under the bed he went and refused to come out for me to dry him off. In a little while he was out again, still kind of wet, but a little less embarrassed. Besides he was curious about those furry toys I was shaking at him.
Well he's all dried off today and has boarded the Friday Ark # 151 over at The Modulator.
But this Weekend none of us here at Chat Katze will be partying. We're too saddened by the heartbreaking news over at "What did you Eat?".
Our friend Sundance was diagnosed with FIP and was so very, very ill that his mom, Sher, had to make the very difficult decision to let sweet Sundance go.
Sher & Upsie are hosting this Weekend Cat Blogging and on their page is a wonderful tribute to our dear friend Sundance.
Our hearts and thoughts go out to Upsie and to Sher at this very difficult time.
Good bye sweet Sundance, goodbye.

Thank you for your support.
My oh my! Those pictures lifted my spirits! :):)
thank you for the smile - though I am looking through leaking eyes and can't see much Sebastian is always good for cheering one up a bit...
we are sad about the news about Sundance too, it's a pity that he had to go to the rainbow bridge at such a young age. He was such a sunshine and happy all his life just to be there...
not very good times for our feline friends right now, it seems we see mor bad than good news around lately.
Kashim & Othello are happy that Sebastian liked the gifts we sent of to him. Thank you again that you didn't want a prize at all and added to the sum for Elijahs Rescue.
purrrs & love to you all
Astrid, Kashim & Othello
Oh sher and astrid, we are so sad to read the news this morning that Sundance had to be euthanised. It breaks our heart so but we know it is for the very best.
Such is the way of life...and death is a part of life unfortunately.
I've had my share of heartbreak in the pet department. Over the past four years or so I have lost 5 dogs and 4 cats. But somehow the pain of losing them all seems worth it when I look back and smile and laugh at the memory of them all :)
These white cats are terrible lol ! And for you it's only the beginning. My Arthur is the only one in my cat family who always has adventures like this. Or he is wet like a sponge or dirty with oily spots because he "worked" under a car !
I just returned from my holidays in England.
first my eyes were wet cos I scared of water...now they are wet cos Sundance went away :(
xxx
Thanks for stopping by our blog! Ernest and I are very pleased to meet you. It looks like you've done some lovely artwork! It's given Ernest a bit of inspiration.
We are sad to hear about your friend. FIP is a terrible disease and takes too many cats.
